Gravel Test Equipment
JA400 / JA400LA / JA400LACE / JA400LB
Gravel Test Equipment is designed to reproduce the effect of gravel or other media striking exposed paint or coated surfaces of an automobile, also known as chipping resistance test, and has been correlated with actual field results, corresponding to the test standards such as SAE, JASO M 104 (test standard of Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan), and others.

Approximately 850 g of gravel is sprayed at a pressure of 0.5 MPa in 10 seconds and sprayed onto a test piece 350 mm away to evaluate scratches on the surface.
This is a model dedicated to the JASO M 104 standard.
The stone collection box at the bottom of the main unit is equipped with a wire mesh for sorting reusable stones, reducing the time and effort required to start the next test after one test.

By equipping the test specimen holder to which the specimen is attached with an electronic cooling element, the temperature of the back surface of the specimen can be adjusted in the range of -30℃ to + 50℃, and the angle can be tilted from 0 ° vertically to 70 ° in front.
It is possible to test the environment in which the test specimen is used, and the effect of the angle at which the gravel hits.

The temperature of the test tank can be adjusted in the range of -30℃ to + 35℃, and the specimen mounting angle can be tilted from 0 ° vertically to 70 ° in front.
