The Abrasion Testers are for testing abrasion resistance of aluminum anodic oxide films, plating, coatings, plastics, rubber and other products. All kinds of grinding paper can be used, and with a wide range of specimen holders available, not only plate-shaped specimens but specimens of many different shapes can be attached to the equipment. Tests can be designed flexibly in accordance with the specimen's actual use condition. Applicable test standards are JIS H 8682-1, JIS H 8682-2, JIS H 8682-3, JIS H 8503, ISO 7784-3, ISO 8251, ISO 10074, ISO 28340, ASTM D 6037 and more.

✓Unsurpassed reproducibility and linearity
For each round trip of the specimen, the wear wheel pressed against the underside of the specimen rotates by 0.9°. Since a new wear surface always wears the specimen, there is no slippage caused by wear debris, resulting in good test reproducibility and excellent linearity between the number of wear cycles and the amount of wear. It is ideal for evaluating the wear resistance of aluminum anodic oxide coatings, plating, coatings, plastics, rubber, digital printed photographs, wristwatches, etc.
Structure
Specimen holder options are available to suit various specimen shapes. Abrasive paper can be freely selected.

Falling Sand Abrasion Tester SD-1

The Falling Sand Abrasion Tester SD-1 is mainly used to test the abrasion resistance of anodic oxide coatings on aluminum and aluminum alloys, plastic lenses of eyeglasses, etc. The test is performed by natural fall of sand from the upper hopper, so no power supply is required and the test can be performed easily.

Jet Abrasion Tester JD-3

The Jet Abrasion Tester JD-3 is to test the wear resistance of anodic oxide coatings on aluminum and aluminum alloys. Sand is injected into the specimen at a specified air pressure for wear testing. It is suitable for the evaluation of hard coatings, thick films, and non-flat surfaces.
